CTM U-Joint FAQ
How often do they need grease?
Good question, that all depends on driving conditions and whether or not the u-joints were subjected to water or mud. Generally, grease them every trip or when you lube the rest of the vehicle once again depending on driving conditions. (The harsher the conditions, the more often you should grease them).
How strong are they?
Well... They are very strong compared to a stock U-Joint however nothing is unbreakable. The body is thicker and the pin diameter is larger, and they are made out of better material, then heat treated.
How long will they last?
That all depends on how frequently you grease them. It compares to changing the oil in your engine....if you do it regularly, it will last a very long time. They are rebuildable. |
